Securesync doesn't display information on LCD screen at startup when temperature is cold

Question

Why doesn't the LCD display on SecureSync show any information when the temperature is cold?

Answer

SecureSync operating temperature range is -20 to +65 degrees Celsius (upper limit +55 for Rubidium).

LCDs near the upper and lower limits may be blank, difficult to read, and sluggish for updates.

If the time display is running, LEDs are lit, and the time was updated from the internal clock (RTC) then the SecureSync is running. The display will return to normal as the unit transitions from the upper and lower limits of the temperature range.
