System memory: Contains executing code and system heap
Process to Sanitize:
Remove power

Non-Volatile Memory

Does the item contain non-volatile memory (i.e., memory whose contents are retained when power is removed)?
  Yes                     No
If the answer is ‘Yes’, please provide the following information for each type (use additional sheets if required):
Type (BBRAM, Flash, EEPROM, etc.):
Flash

8KB
User Modifiable:
  Yes
  No
Function:
System memory- Contains product configuration data, which write the following during normal operation:
  • Status flags for the images stored in the 8MB Flash, these are updated during the upgrade process.
  • An uptime counter, which tracks the powered-on time of the board.
The user reference table, which can be stored by a command from the user.
Process to Sanitize:
The user reference table can be reset to the factory default or overwritten by the user

Media

Does the item contain media storage capability (i.e., removable or  non-removable disk drives, tape drives, memory cards, etc.)?
  Yes                     No
Additional Information:
The TSync-PCIe (Model 1191-2001-0600) product contains an on-board Trimble Resolution-T GPS receiver module which may have its own volatile/non-volatile memory.  Please refer to Trimble (http://www.trimble.com/timing) for details regarding memories used on this module.  The Spectracom TSync-PCIe board does not direct the GPS module to store any persistent information (including position).   Removing power from the TSync-PCIe board should sanitize any information held in volatile or battery-backed memories on this module.
